PREORDER!
It is with enormous pleasure that I announce, with Shawn sitting here right next to me, that The First Cat in Space Ate Pizza is available for preorder, and that we’re doing one of our Special Preorder Things.
If you order from one of four independent bookshops you will get
1) a copy of the book signed by us (Shawn & Mac) and
2) a patch, designed by Shawn, intended for professional-grade meteor-resistant spacesuits, but also suitable for shirts, hats, denim jackets, backpacks, etc.
The best way to support this book—and this series (as in, we’re definitely making two books, but if, like, I dunno, you want ‘em to publish more than two…)—is to preorder it. Plus these patches should turn out nice.
OK, here are the shops!

BOSWELL BOOKS
There are three patches, one for each member of the iconic trio. You don’t get to pick your patch but we think it would be cool if people traded them.
NEW SHIRT!
Finally, a new First Cat shirt! It’s a collaboration with biblio-merchlords Books Are Magic, a shop who’s been with us since the Live Cartoon days, which is to say: This is a bookstore that supported this story before it was even a book. We did a limited run, with kids’ and adult sizes, and we’re letting all you know before we announce it more widely.
DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
Before these newsletters go out, Shawn looks them over and tries to catch any mistakes. And yet, mistakes happen. Not five minutes after I sent out the last one, Shawn texted me, gleefully pointing out a typo. His glee felt misplaced, seeing as he was supposed to proofread the newsletter before it was blasted out to the universe. Nevertheless:
Yes, as eagle-eyed readers probably noted, instead of “Action Figure,” I wrote “Action Finger.” Har har. But like the chocolate chip cookie, the Slinky, and the implantable pacemaker, a breakthrough was birthed from an accident. Without further ado, Shawn & Mac present our newest comic: ACTION FINGER!
OK, that’s all for now. Thanks for reading this. You all mean a ton to us. And if you’re able to preorder the book, truly, thank you. If you can’t, don’t worry: You can always check it out for free at your local library.
